Did you get one of my Christmas
cards, summarizing 2016 and lining out plans for this year? Well, here’s a quick review plus some exciting updates! Last year... 1) I joined the mission organization,
Willing to Go, Inc.; 2) I mentored 3 young people who are continuing
my ministry in my absence: CLICK HERE to see Frank leading the kids in worship; 3) One of my ‘adopted sons’ married,
started a family and is continuing in ministry; 4) My
other ‘son’ graduated from University, teaches high school and is working to
release a Gospel album; 5) I bought a 4-wheel drive vehicle and
drove it cross-country to share with pastors and leaders at the Tanzania
National Baptist Convention about prioritizing youth and children’s ministry—my NEW job that is waiting on me!!

My plan is still to move from Mwanza to Arusha to take my ministry nationwide! From that central city, I can travel the country—from the mountains to the seas—as a Youth and Children’s Ministry Mobilizer! But who knew (besides God, of course!) what challenges 2017 would bring! And that it would take until MAY for me to get back to Tanzania! I had surgery in January but once I recovered, my mother’s health declined. I was still here and able to help her and my father—now that’s God’s timing!! We got her new doctors and other services and she is now much better. Honestly, only God could have restored her health in such a miraculous way. She still has serious health issues, but they will be able to manage them now. I really thought I might need to stay in Louisiana to help, but God kept bringing me back to the new vision of ministry He showed me last July from Psalm 71. Verse 18 says, “Let me proclaim Your power to this new generation, Your mighty miracles to all who come after me.” On April 16th, I picked up one of many of Mama’s devotionals to read to her and THAT was the Psalm of the day which was definitely for both of us! It’s clear by His healing of her that He has work left for Mama to do in Louisiana and something HUGE for me to do in Tanzania. What a faithful, mighty God we serve!

Second, the lease on my house in Mwanza expires June 22nd! So I need to go back, find a house in a new city, sell some stuff and move! Whew! One day and one thing at a time, right!? Please pray for all those involved in these transactions and transitions: old and new landlords, buyers of my stuff, competent movers, safe travel, and so much more that I don’t even know about yet!! And then I will also be starting a new ministry in a new city, with new Tanzanian partners, new churches, more traveling and so much more! What does God have in store?? Must be something really amazing considering all the challenges this year has brought to my family!! I can’t wait to see what the future holds!
And finally, because of my health and then the uncertainty of my mother’s, I wasn’t able to fundraise as I had planned this year. I had plans to visit with many of you personally to THANK YOU for partnering with me these last 4 years and to ask you to continue your support. I had plans to visit with others of you to request that you join my support team. But the time has GONE! It is definitely a GOD-sized task to raise ½ of my budget before I leave and I know He will use His people to do it! I am still willing to GO because God has called me to GO.
Is God calling YOU to SEND me?
